Summer concludes and A New School Year Begins

After attending a wedding in Wyoming, my family and I went across the country on a journey to explore some of our national parks, visit family along the way and view some of the amazing and varied landscapes this great nation has to offer.

Upon returning home, I was able to see reunite with my older sons, mom and team (Team Odyssey), AKA my second family.  Although traveling is one of my greatest loves, returning home is wonderful as well.

Ice Fishing

Kate says, "hurry up and get your license, it is finally going to be cold this weekend!"

I finished another DCF book, called Unfriended, which was a whole lot of middle school drama.  I have moved away from the DCF list, and read Out of the Dust by Karen Hess.  It was quite enjoyable.
January 2016 has arrived and it is time for  me to purchase a fishing license.  I am excited about the idea of ice fishing, as I have not been in quite some time.  I will purchase on line in the first week of February.

CPR Certified

My husband, Kevin, and I successfully completed our CPR course three short weeks ago!  Arranged through the Milton/ Colchester Rotary, we attended the necessary classes and received our certification cards.

Third DCF book Complete

I recently completed reading One Safe Place by Tania Unsworth, one of the 25 DCF books.  It was not my most favorite book, I found it to drag on, but I was interested in how it ended so I pushed through.

I have now completed the book, No Summit Out of Sight, the first of my DCF books.  I have also started the Sisterhood book, first 5 pages horrible, next 3 chapters, great.
