About Me

Stacey Endres is a humanities teacher at Milton Middle School. Students of long ago know her as Mrs. Cook. Stacey has lived in Milton off and on for 37 years. Stacey's mom, known to her students as the banana bread lady, lives in Milton, while Stacey's four older brothers and sisters live in various locations throughout the state. She attended grades 1-12 in the Milton School District. After high school Stacey went to Canisius College in Buffalo New York, before returning to her home state to complete her undergrad work at UVM, and masters degree at Johnson State College. Her greatest joy is being surrounded by her home and school families on a daily basis. Her husband Kevin and her three sons, bring joy to her life each and every day. She adores her students (Ohana) and learns so much from them as well. Not too many people can say they love going to work because of the people they work with! She hopes that she assist her students in developing and maintaining a sense of humor, respectful interactions, citizenship and perseverance.

Stacey is interested in almost everything outdoors, from identifying bugs to biking, and has most recently taken up Kayaking.  In the winter she loves ice fishing and snow shoeing, neither of which she has done in years, she has yet to find a winter outdoor activity that she truly enjoys, and admittedly, does not get outside nearly enough any time of year! She will try her best to do well at all she attempts. A guilty pleasure that some are aware of is a love for sitcoms, stand-up comedy, movies from which she recites lines, and singing single verses from songs – usually out of tune.

Stacey serves her community as a cheerleader.  When approached with negativity about Milton and its schools she is personally stricken.  She is aware of its flaws and frequent self-defeating approach to adversity, however she knows the tremendously intelligent, strong, giving people that live and learn in this great community, and will sing their praises.  Her greatest hope is that student moral is not affected by stereotyping of Milton or the behaviors of a few that unfortunately, get a lot of attention.  She wants her students to understand the importance of pride, integrity and power of being positive, as opposed to focusing on the negative, as she has learned from her mom (banana bread lady).  At present, Stacey does not belong to any specific clubs or organizations.  She does much of her community service through the Colchester/ Milton Rotary, of which her husband Kevin is a member.  Through Rotary, Stacey and her family deliver Christmas gifts/baskets for the less fortunate, collect items for Toys for Kids, collect canned goods for community members, and most recently, participated in a 5K "Move Your Can" fundraiser.  She believes it is time to look towards helping the Milton community as a team, as activities and fundraisers for those outside of our school have decreased over the past few years.
